The club occupies a large open space, set out
with eleven croquet lawns, two of which are kept open in the Close Season for
members to practise, and has its own substantial pavilion and associated
changing rooms. Next to the pavilion is the club dining room and bar.
The Open season runs from April to October,
when a number of days are set aside for "Fun Doubles",
"Pirates", and the like, for members to socialise. In addition an
extensive programme of social events, including Bridge, Quizzes, etc., keeps
everyone happily engaged throughout the year. The Club has an enviable
reputation for its home cooking, enjoyed by the members at lunches arranged
throughout the year.
